“Carving Up Oconee” video

Albert Hale will talk about the history of dairy farms in Oconee County.  He will tell us how Hale's Dairy has managed to survive through the economic ups and downs when other dairies were closing. Albert Hale's family has lived in Oconee County for many generations. He is present owner of Hale's Dairy, the only working dairy in Oconee County. At the April meeting of the Oconee Historical Society Tom Gresham will talk about old family burials/cemeteries and the rights the descendants have in visiting, upkeep and preserving them in Georgia. Tom Gresham was born and reared in Aiken, South Carolina, where he collected arrowheads with his parents from a very early age.
